In 2011, I graduated with a Bsc. (Physiotherapy and Rehabiltiation) from Pamukkale University, TURKEY. After two years clinical experience in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy in Ankara, I got Msc. Degree in Physiotherapy (Manual Therapy) at the University of Nottingham. When I returned home, I began working as a lecturer at Kütahya Health Sciences University. Meantime, I started to my PhD at the same university and graduted in early 2019. My PhD thesis was about the effectiveness of pain neuroscience education combined with manual therapy and home exercise for chronic low back pain. I continued my researches on chronic pain, cognitive behaviorual therapies such as pain neuroscience education and pain classification regarding pain phenotypes. I have published more than 15 papers in these fields. I have been teaching several modules (Manual therapy, Clinical Reasoning, Musculoskeleatal Assessment etc.) both in Bsc and Msc level.

Specialist Pharmacist Somer Helvacı, who is a lecturer at Lokman Hekim University Faculty of Pharmacy, has been continuing his research and development studies since 2015 on the newly developing field of Sports Pharmacy in the world and our country. Somer Helvacı, who has organized presentations and training in many faculties, professional organizations, and sports institutions regarding the field of Sports Pharmacy, which was first defined in 2015 in our country, has also been awarded the "Pharmaceutical in Sports" certificate issued by the IOC (International Olympic Committee) Medicine and Science Commission since 2018. He is the only pharmacist who completed the program in our country. As a Pharmacist, Athlete Health consultant accredited by the IOC, he prepared Sports Pharmacy courses in the form of a 14-week curriculum for undergraduate students of Lokman Hekim University Faculty of Pharmacy in 2020. Upon the demands of the field, he also focused on Pharmacist training and designed Certified Sports Pharmacy Online Training Programs. Nearly 100 Pharmacists from Turkey and Cyprus have been certified through 50-hour programs organized with 25 trainers who are experts in their fields. Somer Helvacı, who participated in the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Baku in 2017 and participated as an observer to examine the Pharmacy Service to the approximately 10,000 athletes and sports personnel who participated in the organization, participated in the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya in August 2022. He was the General Coordinator of the Pharmacy Service in the Solidarity Games. In the aforementioned Pharmacy Service, together with 12 Certified and Volunteer Colleagues, they provided Pharmacy service during the games in Konya. Somer Helvacı, who contributed to the creation of the Sports Pharmacy Master's Program, which was implemented in Gazi University Faculty of Pharmacy in 2022, continues to work on the protection of athletes' health and the planning and development of preventive activities in this field. He is one of the directors of the International Sports Pharmacists Network and a member of the American Sports Pharmacists Group. In addition to these studies, he is a Ph.D. candidate. He continues his thesis studies at Lokman Hekim University Traditional and Complementary Therapies Doctorate Program.
