What is the FIMS ESRSM Emirates Young Investigators Award (YIA)?
The Emirates Society of Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine (ESRSM) is proud to open its call for nominations for the Emirates Young Investigators Award, which will be presented during the 38th FIMS World Congress of Sports Medicine in Dubai! These honors focus on growing the fraternity of sports, exercise, and the medical field towards the betterment of healthcare and the general well-being of United Arab Emirates citizens as a whole. ESRSM will recognize the top two local abstract winners who have made or are currently making significant and beneficial contributions to knowledge, society, culture, or innovation in the fields of sports, exercise, and medicine in the United Arab Emirates.

Eligibility Criteria
Nominee to be below the age of forty (40) years upon registering for the FIMS Congress.
Nominee must be within six years of completing a research degree or within six years of completing medical residency
Nominee to be a confirmed registered delegate to the congress with full-payment.
Nominee to be the first author of the submitted abstract / presentation and should have presented at the Congress.
Decision of the FIMS Scientific Review Committee is final. No appeals will be entertained.
Each nominee can only submit one application either to an oral OR poster presentation.
Nominee is required to submit their CV online via the FIMS Emirates YIA Application Portal which will be live and available after July 31, 2024.
The submitted abstract / presentation SHOULD NOT have received a similar award in other conferences.
Post-doctoral fellows, assistant professors, associate professors and any equivalent or higher position are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for this Award.

ESRSM will be awarding 2 Young Investigators for the best Poster & Oral presentations during the 38th FIMS Dubai Congress. This initiative aims to encourage and support young scientists, and reward outstanding dissemination of their work to an international audience.
